    Feeding

I was watching some youtube vids and was wondering...do you feed your snakes food items other than mice/rats and if so how often.

yep, gerbil is a good way to get a problem eater to go.

    Re: Feeding

Feed what works and stick to it

I feed rats and mice to those who do not take rats.

I would not feed gerbils not even to problem feeders , getbils are aggressive with long teeth and once a BP imprint on them they rarely go back to their regular diet.

The best option with a problem feeder is feeding ASF.

If what you feed is working no need to feed something different, unless you want to take the risk on your BP imprinting on the new prey item and not swithing back, making him a picky eater.

Adult mice or rat pup just remember it might take time for your BP to switch.

Hoppers and fuzzies are way to small for a BP that size time to super-size

    Re: Feeding

i know they are too small, so ive been feeding 2, but like you said and what i have been worried about is the refusal. so i have been hesitant to switch. i am going to try the rat pups as they are of more nutritional value

    Re: Feeding

i wouldnt ever give anything but a rat mouse or an asf and i would surely only give it what you can easily get.
