They are both pythons, That's the only real similarity. Carpets are a bit cooler temps, and more humidity. Tubs are great for carpets! That are semi-arboreal. This means they tend to climb the stuff you put in the tank and stay there but as they get older they naturally know that they are heavier so you have to add bigger branches. Even then I've noticed them spending more time on the cage floor. Carpets are easy to care for, all you have to do is google and search. Tons of sites and care sheets on them that are better written than I can do.
