RBI's entry is on the side - zilla is on the end. rbi's fit nicely into tubs. They are competitively priced as well - buy em at a show that he's going to - you get a price break on quantity and save on the shipping $$$$$

Re: old school plastic black hides

Word of warning about the RBI hides: the measurements given are for the BOTTOM of the hide to the outside edges of the lip that turns out on the bottom. This makes the hides sound larger than they really are, because the lip obviously isn't useable, and because the hide quickly tapers towards the top. The door on the small hides is also too large - my babies don't like them for that reason. The medium ended up being too small for my 1270 g girl, and because the sides are so tapered, the hide box slides up if she pushes on the sides.

Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the hides. I was just frustrated that the sizing was so far off, and the hides ended up being too small. The shipping and packing services from RBI were great, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Re: old school plastic black hides

I need to weigh my girl but I've had her for 6 months(she's probably closer to 8 months old). She's a little over 2 feet long at this point so I'm guess I probably need the Medium hide right? She still isn't very large weight wise but then again, she's still pretty young. I have half logs now but I've been told they suck and to get actual hides.
