well i have not used Chlorhexaderm mouth rinse , but peroxide if "done correctly" does not cause tissue damage . if overdone then yes it can but if a proper treatment is administered then you wont have that kind of problem .
i can show the mouth of my female spider when she had a tooth cause her the get minor mouth rot , and you would see if shown the picture no tissue damage done at all and the damage caused by the rot has since healed and recovered perfectly ..
