    Help! Poop?

I have been posting threads on here about my BP not pooping. Well I think he has...but not what I expected. It looks to me like it would as if we were constipated..sorry for the gross factor. I am pretty positive it is what i think it is because well, i took it out and smelled it...yeah gross but you do what you've gotta do. Anyway, I took a picture. Can you give me your opinions and if it could be bad? It is extremely thin and not what I expected it to be.

sorry, my camera wasn't working and I had to use one that does not take great pics.

Please tell me the substrate got stuck to the poop, and didn't come out with it, LOL.

Have you had your BP checked for internal parasites? If not, you should throw that in a zip lock bag and put it in the fridge till you can take it to a vet for a fecal test.

    Re: Help! Poop?

well, if you fed it on the 12th then its probably not due for a poop for another weekish or so... if s/he goes over a month w/out defecating then i would worry.. most likely the mouse isn't even completely through their system yet..
    for example:
my bp ate a med. rat on the 11/19/08
    he defecated on the 11/30/08
so about 11 days between feed and poop
and thats the normal since i've had him, roughly.. sometimes it takes a little longer depending on size of the rodent..
in other words: don't fret! and keep records.. it helps a ton w/ trying to figure out feeding, poop and shed normalcy w/ your snake

dont worry about them not pooping. They go when there ready to go. i have a male bp now that has not pooped in 2 months but when he does go its huge. Then again hes only eating once a month due to winter.
