I went out to the farm last week to play with the horses because we had some nice weather roll through. I've been regularly putting the bridles and saddles on the babies, but last week was the first time I ran them around in the round pen. I only ran Tora, the buckskin with all the get up because I ended up getting nailed in the stomach and slammed into the fence. I was hurting too bad to run the palomino around with all the gearI couldn't blame her though, it's still all pretty new for her. I'm just trying to make it easy for me when I have to break her next year.

Tora (keep in mind that is a five foot fence!)
Any pointers anyone has would be very welcome! I am having some issues of them throwing their butts at me whenever they don't like something. I'm sure it's because of their age, but something other than just yelling or throwing your hands up?? I've been told to take a long whip and pop them when they do it, but I'm worried it will just make them want to kick more. Anyone have opinions/solutions?
