Fairly new to BP care, we've had our BP for about three months now. When we first bought it, it was shedding in all sorts of pieces in different sections of its body.
This morning I woke up to a long piece of shed across the tank! I'm so excited to see that this time around it shed in one piece completely, a sign of a healthy BP! (I was worried at first by the way it had been acting up until this point, because mainly it remained out of view and constantly curled up in its hide).
But I don't know the rate at which a BP sheds... because I could've swore that the previous 3 to 4 weeks ago it had just got done with its not so great shed, and now it shed again. We don't know how old our BP is exactly, but is it common for BPs to shed at quick rates like ours did? Is there any indication of how much a BP sheds based upon how young/old it is?
