Sumatran Short tails, are the smaller of the group of "Bloods" ( They are not Really BLOOD pythons, but are also known as "Black Bloods")

They get quite a bit larger than ball pythons Girth wise...., but not an unmanageable size at all. They have much higher humidity requirements, but again, NOT hard to maintain if you pay attention.

my Sumatran boy has never hissed or struck at me. no matter how i pick him up. ( even buried in the mulch) Hes a great snake and every shed he just gets so much prettier! I think they will be just like all other snakes * from the animals i have seen in person* and some will have a tude, while others, are perfectly tolerant to let you poke at them.
