    They definitely aren't as friendly as balls. They do tame down but each snake is different. Most will hiss and puff up when you pick them up, some will strike at you with a closed mouth. When they tame down they are great but I still feel that Balls are WAY tamer.

    As far as size, Google some photos of people holding their Bloods. They are MUCH, MUCH larger than Ball Pythons.

    I don't want to scare you away. I love them and they are great and impressive snakes. Its like having a huge snake without it being too huge.

    They just aren't Balls.
