It was born a normal pastel but did the weird change thing that some snakes have done where they shed and come out gray for some reason. I hadn't seen it in any morphs until I saw the pastel he had as well as a spider he had that did it as well. They're often referred to as IMGs and often change their color back but never completely. Its not a new morph or anything and that pastel and this spider were both born looking like a normal pastel and a normal spider.
Here's a pic from Daytona 04 where he brought that pastel and the spider I mentioned.
Also I couldn't tell you exactly what causes this anomaly but I've seen it happen probably 15 times or so in the past 7 years that I've been breeding balls.
Yea that was my first thought, but it's a little more yellowish, and it seemed like the black contrasted alot more than it does on a Desert Ghost. But then again patterns and colors vary highly.

Ahhh I know what you mean. I believe there have been a couple members here on BP.net that this has happened to. The only one I really remember was a Spider changing into what seemed like an Axanthic Spider.
The way that spider has paled out on the back and the dark is splotchy reminds me so much of Crispy girl. I'm watching her closely to see what, if anything her color does but so far no changes. She saw the vet today, and everything looks normal aside from some internal parasites that will shortly be wiped out.
That is one theory that stress has something to do with the changing of the colors so you're snake with the parasites could be stressed enough to do the color change. Like I said it doesn't happen often but it does happen and no one really has a complete explanation on the matter....
