    Feeding Issues

My BP went through a shed almost a week ago and during this he skipped his meal. Today is his normal feeding day and he is not showing any interest in eating. The last time I fed him was two Mondays ago and it was an adult brown mouse. The past couple of times I have tried to feed him the mice were white.

I did see a posting about this, but I am not sure if it applies to my situation or if snakes tend to not eat after a shed for a significant amount of time. Better yet am supposed to hold off on feeding after a shed?

    Go ahead and offer food.

I have one finicky eater that likes a one - two day break after a shed cycle. Others will eat whilst in shed. Hope that helps.

    Re: Feeding Issues

He's only skipped two meals and the meal he ate before that was huge, So maybe it's not that big a deal. I'll just try again next week.

On the subject of colors, I have read that snakes identify their food by color, scent, warmth and a couple other things. Do you think next week I should go back to the brown color mice?
