Ok questions first, story second.

Will a breedable male lock up with a 450g female, and will she allow him? Also will a female lock up with a female for any reason at all?

Ok so I have this 1000g bp that I got from the pet store over a year ago. Its what got me started in this hobby. I had a friend pop and probe her when she was about 500g and he said she is definatly a female. Well the other day I had to house her and a 450g female pastel in the same tub and thought it wouldn't be a problem, except when I checked on them, they were locked. I thought it was a accident and they were just cuddling and happened to lock up, so I pulled them apart and an hour later they were locked again. So I pulled the 1000g so called female out and stuck it in with my 2000g female to see what would happen and they locked up as well, so now I guess my 1000g female is really a male? Or could she just be horny and locking up with everyone? Lol I also stuck my 550g male pastel in with that 450g female pastel since he didn't want to lock up at all this year thinking she would be safe, and I found them in a lock tonight??? So back to my 2 questions.

First never pull locked animals apart...you could injure either animal very easily.

...as for the locks...sounds like you need to find someone who knows how to pop.

...and I have had corns in the past....I would often see females court eachother as if one was trying to lock with another.

In addition to Joshua's response, assuming both animals weren't male, and they were indeed locked, the male will be the animal with it's tail on the bottom. I bet the 1000 grammer was the animal with the tail on the bottom.

Maybe im crazy but intentionally putting a 550g male with a 450g male isn't all that of a good idea. PRetty sure noting would happen even if they did lock considering she most likely not sexually mature but still seems iffy to me. As for the gender bender snake I would take it down to a reputable reptile breeder/shop or a vet and get it sexed again.

I don't quite understand why you keep putting the snakes together? Each should have it's own housing.
You should probably get someone who knows probing better, and get ALL your snakes probed accurately. It's easy to mis-probe a python.
