New at snake keeping help!

I'm sure my husbandry is fine, The CB BP is in a 20 L tank with infared heat on one side that's at 90. The humidity is around 60%-70% but I spray the tank down once or twice a day as it can fall to 50%, 2 hides and rocks and wood with coco fiber as a sustrate and a water dish near the hot spot to increase the moisture. I just got the BP about 2 weeks ago and he isn't feeding yet. He's very healthy and has good weight to him for a little guy. The reptile store said not to worry as he's a good size. When do you force feed if the snake refuses to eat? Also he tends to try to climb the sides of the tank and sometimes stays there for a while is he getting an infection or is it normal? He's quite active and roams his tank way more then I thought he would.

What are you using to measure your temps and humidity. Most often if a Ball Python is roaming it is because they are stressed.

70% humidity is a little high unless he is going to shed. Normal humidity should be around 50-60%. Everything else sounds good. What's the ambient, or overall, temperature in the tank?? that should be around 80

Force feeding should be a last resort option and is generally not considered until the snake starts losing a lot of weight. If you've only had him for 2 weeks then don't worry about it. Did the place you bought him from tell you the last time he had eaten?? Unless he is sick, he will eat eventually. You just have to have patience

Climbing the sides of the tank is normal for a new snake in a new environment. He is probably a little freaked out and trying to get used to his new home. Again, you just have to give him time. Ball pythons do lay around a lot, but they can also be quite active too when they feel like it.

You could try covering the sides and back of the tank with dark paper to help him feel more secure

Well, he is new. If it's only been two weeks I would relax a little. He's probably just settling in. Give him some alone time for a while and see if he feels hungry once he's more comfortable in his new home.
