Andrew;
From now on when you hold that snake please be sitting on the floor! You have to be aware of her at all times so this crap doesn't happen, I know it seems like I'm coming down on you, well I am, if the snake is not coiled around your neck safely, then there is a danger of her falling!
Just keep an eye on her, I sure she'll be ok, how far did she fall?

Instead of starting multiple posts... it may be beneficial to keep your discussions reigned in a bit.
There are already about 3 posts on the snake getting dropped. Not starting new posts will let you follow the info given a bit easier if it is all in one place.
---------------------------------------------------------------
As for the dropping... keep an eye on her, and as noted previously, be more attentive when handling her. Perhaps leave her alone for a few days, if she has been hurt then not being handled will be beneficial.
Also it may give you a chance to do some much needed research and reading. And next time you take her in hand you will be better prepared.
If you are concerned that she has been injured then you need to get her a vet.

I was sitting on the floor,
and she was around my neck and she fell onto my lap once,
and the floor twice :[
it doesn't seem like HUGE fall, but now you all have me worried.

The fall was a short one so she'll probably be fine just keep an eye one her post some pics, she's pobably stressed out from the falls, leave her be for a couple of days. If anything seems out of the ordinary have a reptile vet check her out.

It doesn't matter how short the fall, You can damage your snakes vertebrae.
Would you put a new born child around your neck? No.

Either way Nixer, Not good
We shouldn't debate what could break, Point is if your snake is continuously falling to the ground it is not a good thing.

Like my signature says, I haven't really been keeping snakes for long, but, from what I've read and my short experience, a ball python (or any constrictor, for that matter) has the natural tendency to coil their tails around something to gain purchase. Usually, they will not let go unless they feel secure enough to move. I have a Western Hognose as well and these snakes do not do that. That's why, in the caresheets, it will usually say that you have to hold the hognose securely at all times (i.e., you can't just wrap him around your neck, or make a snake bracelet, etc.).
So, I see this 2 ways, either the ball python feels like the distance of the drop is safe enough to let go of the tail. Or, the snake has some physical or neurological problem that causes him to not be able to "hang on".
Just thought, I'd throw it in there as a possibility and see what everybody else thinks...
