    Youtube Videos

I am hoping to throw together a few youtube videos here in the near future, and I am curious as to what you guys like about the abundance of youtube videos out there from reptile breeders. So, with all the BHB, 8 Ball, RDR and Boaphile videos out there, what do you like about them? And what do you dislike about them?

Post what ever you find interesting. I like to see peoples rat colonys and special snakes. No feeding videos though, we have seen plenty of those...

I'd like to see more informational or opinion-based videos. Tell me what YOU think, as the breeder. You're the one we look to for great advice, so offer it up freely, and don't mince words.

Haha, Nate put down the Martini and step away from the bar!! I am working on unique ideas, but speaking in tongues wasn't one of them, don't know why I didn't think of that though.

    Re: Youtube Videos

Personally, I like to see the collection and setup videos the most. I find it interesting to see how others have their animals housed and what they keep in their collection.

I generally steer clear of feeding videos. Unless it's a unique species. How many times can it still considered interesting to watch a Ball Python eat (unless it's your own )?

    Re: Youtube Videos

I like seeing the extras. This includes how-to, DIY kinda stuff....tools of the trade sort of deal. I like seeing feeder setups, different racks (commercial or DIY), random tips etc....oh, and screaming hot lemon's....I love White Diamond Reptiles pastels...too bad they are like 3x as expensive as the competition.

    Re: Youtube Videos

Figured I'd weigh in on this, even though I just got my first snake I'm subscribed to a ton of snake channels on YouTube.

I don't know how others feel about this, but I'd rather listen to someone talk off the cuff than to watch scripted stuff. The scripted stuff tends to seem very fake to me (after all, you're snake breeders, not actors LOL). Plus with just listening to the person talk I feel like I get a much better feel for who the person is and if I get that I'm probably going to be more likely to feel comfortable buying from them.

I like to see setups and routines, how the feeders are housed and taken care of especially.

I'd like to see more informational or opinion-based videos. Tell me what YOU think, as the breeder. You're the one we look to for great advice, so offer it up freely, and don't mince words.
x2. I like to see both sides of the coin presented, pros and cons of each, and then tell what YOU think.

    Hope that helps a bit.
