    help with humidity!

Hi everyone! I have a new ball python and I am really enjoying it. My problem is I cannot keep the humidity up under any circumstances. I have been constantly misting the cage, getting it up to a good 70 or so humidity (he is currently shedding). But after a couple of minutes it will inevitably drop back down, usually to 40, could get under. Any suggestions!? I have a glass terrarium 10g tank, astroturf substrate, a large water bowl, a branchlike thing and a hide box.

    Re: help with humidity!

Try covering a good deal of the top of the tank. You can just use a towel until you figure out how much you have to cover to get the humidity right; but if you are using a glass tank it will probably take a lot of covering to do the trick.

Check out this thread - On page 1, Argentra and Anatess have posted pics of their glass tank setups where they have done just that (there might be others later in the thread as well.)
