    Re: Silverstreak

It is a pewter. If the pairing was a super pastel x pewter, the results would be:

    25% Pastel
    25% Super Pastel
    25% Pastel Cinnamon (pewter)
    25% Super Pastel Cinnamon (sterling/silverstreak)

So even if that was the pairing, it has every chance in the world to be a pewter.

Here is a Black Pastel Pewter (Ian G line black pastel):

And here is a picture of a nice Silver Streak:
Colin, that Pewter and the “nice Silver Streak” are both exceptional. The Adult Silver Streak looks great also. The mid-grade Silver Streak, eh. LOL It just goes to show you that you should buy the animal not the line or name.

I don't know enough to add my tuppence to the pewter/ sterling discussion but I have to point our that even if it was a super pastel there is no way it could produce a killer bee if bred to a spider.

Since only one gene comes from each parent you would need the pastel gene to be present on both sides of the family tree.

    So Superpastel x spider gives;

    50% bumblebees
    50% pastels.

I think this is a Streak??? lol

This boy is 550 grams and will start "dating" in March. He looks Better than after his first hatch -- and really does look better than he appears in photos. His peach color pattern is difficult to capture.

OK can put this one to bed now!

It IS a Silverstreak (although not a screamer!), and it was bred by Michael Cole, and shipped to Scales and Tails in the UK.

    Thanks!

Glad you were able to figure out its genetics. Although it is not a screamer, it is a very nice looking snake. I am envious, and would love to have one!!
