    Heating was an issue

If you've read some of my previous threads you might recall I have had a ton of trouble with heating and my little ball was a little on the mean side.

I was running a 100w bulb with a rheostat and had so much trouble maintaining a decent heat and had to continuously check on it. Recently I went to New England Reptile Distributors and took the advice of many people here and purchased a thermostat. Have it hooked up to a 'DEEP' light dome with a 150w bulb. What a wonderful idea. The room he is in is always cold, Like 60 degrees cold, but the inside of his tank has been between 92 - 94 with no problems.

His attitude has changed 100%. I can take him out of his tank without him trying to strike and he even slithers around on me. Huge difference from his former hostile little self.

Yes it does... though there are numerous (if not the majority) of posts regarding husbandry, it is the most critical... Snakes are pretty simple creatures as long as they are given what they need, and it ain't much.

One of the reasons I stuck around this forum was the lack of "do a search" and "check the FAQs" monkeys. Though reminded of the caresheets and search function the offer of advice is always there in this place.

Good to know as my 6 year old may be needing this forum as his "herping life" gets on track...
