where to locate moss
I've decided since my boy is in shed to start using moss. Just wondering whats the best way or the best place to locate it? Thanks

Re: where to locate moss
Here's where I get mine: http://www.tropicalplantproducts.com...=2&selection=4. I get the long fiber Chilean moss. Best moss I've ever seen

Re: where to locate moss
I put moss inside ceramic bird food cups (I have a parrot, so I have tons of those lying around), soak them good, then line them up on the back of the glass tank like a freight train.

Re: where to locate moss
I use the half log hides so I just stuck glob of moss between one opening of the log and the glass of the tank

Re: where to locate moss
I suppose you just check on it daily and if it starts to feel dry you....
1.) replace it with new saturated moss or
2.) resoak it
leads me to another question: How often should the moss be changed, do you use the moss when snakes are NOT in shed and if so do you locate it anywhere else besides the hide? guess that was 3 qyestions ahe?

Re: where to locate moss
I think it depends on the type of moss you have and its quality.
With the moss that I get, I can re-soak it for quite a few times until it starts to get brown and I replace it.
I need to use moss to keep my humidity up since I live in a place of uber low humidity year round. I just keep a container filled

Re: where to locate moss
I change out the moss when I changed out the substrate. Which is after every shed right now. Which comes up to about once a month.
