    Red or blue light?

I am currently building a herp encloser and was thinking of including a colored LED light for viewing at night- one i could leave on 24/7 and not have to get a timer. I know bps dont need any uv light but what color least disturbs their night cycle? i have heard red because of infared ext and also blue because its like moon light? which is it

Most use a non heating red light. LED would work well.
