I was in the same boat as you were. I would feed in a seperate box and the snake would take forever to eat. Then one day, it just stoped taking the mouse. He did this for two weeks and then people on this site recommended I feed inside his actual enclosure. Ever since i did that, my Ball and all the other ball pythons i have, have never missed a meal. You should try it and see if it'll work for you. Just give him a few days before you offer food again.
    Ball Pythons, All male:
Normal, Albino, Spider, Pinstripe, Mojave, Pastel, Orange Ghost, Lesser Platinum, Bumbleebee
    Other Snakes:
2 Green Tree Pythons, 1 Brazilian Rainbow Boa, 1 Jungle Carpet Python
    Reptiles:
2 Northern Blacknobb sawbacks, 1 Crested Gecko, 1 Bearded Dragon, 1 Dalmatian Hermann Tortoise
