    too much humidity=lose stool???

heres the break down. fed on saturday night, misted on monday, this morning, diarrhea everywhere.

temps are 90 in the hot 79ish in the cool end. humidity was up there because i misted. i misted becasue i had some pink bellies and due to the heater, humidity was a bit down.

i find it too much of a coincidence that this happend together so i don't think it would be due to IP. this is a captive bred animal and its weight is around 105 ish. there has been no loss in body weight or change in behavior and this is the first time this has happend. i highly doubt it was a temp spike b/c he is in a rack system with the probe in an empty tub that wasn't misted. the temps, of course, fell at the time of misting but climbed back up later that day.

the only other thing i could think that may have caused this was that sunday, my wife's mother came over and asked to see the snakes and i took him out of the tub. i only handled him for around a minute. he was in a ball and i didn't make him spred out or anything, i just picked him up.

    opinions and comments please!!

Diarrhea should not occur from high humidity especially for such a short period. Diarrhea can be caused by a number of different ailments but it can also be just a once in a while random occurrence. Just keep an eye on the snake to make sure there is no appearance of dehydration (loose skin, indented eyes) and wait until his next stool passes. If the next stool is the same, take a sample to a herp vet for a fecal float/smear to examine for parasites or other abnormalities.
