Re: Sea Kittens... and PETA
Protoplasimic Pete, pelagic wonderer and lover of rubber boobs read this thread and asked a very important question.
What about mermaids? Can we still eat them?

Re: Sea Kittens... and PETA
thinking about eating a dog or cat actually makes me feel kind of sick. not because they are cute, but because it makes me think of a rotting cat or dog on the side of the road and it makes me want to yak.
people are very close to there cats and dogs and alot of people consider them part of there family. would you eat someone in your family? not to mention, fish are not kittens. fish are food. jesus fed starving people fish. it's one of the most told bible stories, is that not exploitation? no? i don't really know if it is. but i don't really care, fish are FOOD. but that doesn't change the fact that i don't like to eat anything that swims in a toilet.
if certain animals weren't mass produced, alot more people would be starving today. adam and eve ate animals. and i'm agnostic. if we didn't have protein we would all die. and it's not "natural" to live off protein shakes.

It also is not natural for the head of PETA to take insulin shots everyday... which were developed through animal testing.
God bless ya Ingrid.

Re: Sea Kittens... and PETA
I just wanna say this for the sake of debate, but fish were not specifically created as food for humans. Sure, our primate ancestors ate them too, but so do a lot of other animals and fish serve other roles apart from dinner in the natural world.
I eat fish and I have nothing against fish-eaters, but that doesn't mean that they are just here to serve as food for other animals.
I'm not sure if this is what you all were getting at, but I just wanted to put this out there
