    Humidity

How do u keep humidity constant.
I can get it up to 50, but 10 minutes later its back down to 20-25.
I have a 20 gallon.. and its the dirt stuff that expands when u add water.. I dont know what its called, I think its made out of coconut stuff tho. And I have moss I the cage and a large water bowl. I completly soak the dirt in 1/2 the cage, amd wet all the moss and it says its at 50, but 10-20 minutes later it drops back down to 25..

    Re: Humidity

    Hi,

Most people in tanks are using screen tops which cause part of this problem.

Heat lamps also affect humidity so the most recomended method is to cover the outside of the mesh top with tinfoil and tape it down (make sure there is no tape inside the enclosure) then cut a hole for the heatlamp if they use one.

Also it might be worth insulating the back and two sides of the tank if you aren't already as this helps keep the temps a bit steadier.

Have a search about for tank setup threads for other ideas etc.

    Re: Humidity

If you have a screen top it will help if you cover at least like 2/3rds of the top with glad press and seal - I use that and it helps my humidity stay up.
