Well, hognoses are great frirst snakes. I have hognoses, BP's, and Red tails and a hognose was my first snake. Awesome little guys but they usually require a little more attention than BP's so they don't get 'hissy' but less attention that red tails because of humidity issues.
Totally worth it either way. i just like scarring novices and telling them not to pick up my 'venemous' hognose

lol well the more attention part doesn't bother me. trust me, i'd be wanting to handle him/her daily if possible.

i even found a couple breeders that are pretty close by, the hard part is convincing the wife.
