Hovabator
Would you guys use this incubator? If so, which model, the turbo fan model or the thermal air flow model. I will only have 3 clutches at most this year so let me know what incubator I should use if the hovabator isnt sufficient. Thanks.

Re: Hovabator
I wouldn't based on people who lost their clutch to those type of incubator.
A DIY incubator is your best bet.

Re: Hovabator
I agree with Deb. You can build a cheap reliable incubator that blows away the hovabator.

There are a bunch of threads in the DIY section. It depends on how many clutches. If just a couple try using one of the cooler designs.

Re: Hovabator
Don't use it, I had one for other purposes which it worked fine for( Feeder bug eggs) but from watching the temps all the time they are not all that reliable.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Re: Hovabator
I used it last year to hatch my first clutch of ball python eggs. It worked fine for me. I used the thermal flow one. This year I'm building my own, mostly because you have to replace pretty much the entire incubator every year (so its like buying a new one every year) and if you build your own it'll last much longer.

I have to disagree. I have used the heating element from an hovabator and have had no problems with temps. Heck....I bred a 'Pastel' to a 'Normal' last season and got 3 Hypos.
