Re: Tongs
you really want tweezers or hemostats
tweezers(forceps) can be found rubber tipped or not and sizes up to 18 inches
hemostats come in locking and nonlocking in many different lengths.
many places carry these personally i have both
make sure your tweezers are round tipped

Re: Tongs
I purchased a pair of 24in (yes, 24) tweezers at the Daytona Expo. I paid $19. Definitely go with metal.

Re: Tongs
I bought some long hemos and rubber tipped tweezers from Rich at Reptile Basics. They're in the husbandry section. The hemos I use for the snakes, and the rubber tipped tweezers are great for handfeeding raptors without hurting delicate mouth membranes.

Mine came from petco but i only use them for one of my snakes. I have to trick him to eat. If he sees me he wont eat.
