98F is pretty darned warm~ too warm. What are your ambient temps and humidity?

It's a pretty set up to look at but still needs some tweaking for a ball python to live in
I do need another hide for cool side...Didn't plan on getting him, but went to the Reptile Expo this past Sunday in Indianapolis and picked him up...again unplanned...still gotta grab a few things! Lol
The temps have dropped since this pic, they were still adjusting/I was figuring out lamp positions for the correct temps....

That's why it's always a good idea to have the set up prepared and ready to go before the snake makes it home! Hopefully it'll be up and running quick.

That's how reptile expos go though.. we're all susceptible to impulse buys!

(except me aparently, I have yet to purchase a species that I hadn't already planned to purchase at least a few days prior.. I blame it on the lack of expos in MN)

i agree with everybody else on the tips they pointed out.

make sure you get that hot side temp down soon though, 98 is way way too hot.

You:How many snakes do you have?
Me: Oh, just a room full.
    You:Eh, how many?

98 is not way way way too hot,or does each way mean 1 degree?if the probe is on the glass, under the carpet its fine.the carpet will take it down on a few degrees.if it were aspen or newspaper id lower it a little bit.

you might want to move that light away from the hide/tree.thats asking for the back of the snake to get burnt.
