I hope them paws get bigger and he grows into them.

I'm very jealous, my next dog is definitely going to be a German shepherd. However, I do agree with an earlier post... they're very prone to hip dysplacia, as is my Aussie shep.
He is a little heart breaker. I hope I do not have any problems with hip dysplacia.

Me and my dad are talking about breeding them.

Thank you. The loyalty is 50% of why I got a GSD. the other 50% is the looks

Well if he came from a responsible breeder, his parents would have been checked prior to breeding. But that does not mean that he won't have it, or his parents don't have the gene.

We had a good GSD a while ago, but donated him to an aid dog traininer when he was still a pup. He was too good of a dog to just have as a pet and personal protection dog. I talked to her a few months ago, and it seems as if he was placed as a seeing eye dog, but had some problems when he was an adolecent. It seems as if he was growing so fast that he was in pain so they had to medicate him.

GSDs are a great breed, and I wish you luck with the pup.

Prior to when you want to breed, and yet still waiting until he is over a year old, get a PennHip done on him

Thank you I never knew how they tested for it. Our two GSD's we had when i was a child were adoptions, so I have never been to a real breeder before.

I will be taking him to the vet in a few weeks, I will talk to the vet about what tests and procedures need to be done before breeding.

He is AKC registered, my dad is getting an AKC registered girl. So we should have some great AKC registered pups.

Also how would I go about learning how to show and do shutzhund?

Are you wanting to do it for sport or protection?

Do not rely on a sport dog to protect you. If you want a protection dog then please find a trainer that specializes in actual protection work. If you want a sporting dog then find a trainer in that.

I have been training dogs for my entire life, and have trained several protection dogs, and several shutzhund sport dogs, but never did I attempt it by myself.
