    Gran Torino

    I saw this on Friday.

If you like Clint Eastwood, you will love this movie. And by far, this is the most meaningful movie he's done. I am still thinking about it 3 days after seeing it.

Now mind you, it is rated R so don't take the kids. There's lots of swearing and racial slurs and moderate violence. But it's a great movie with a great story and and great acting by Eastwood. It's amazing what he can convey with a grunt.

Don't let the trailer fool you. It's not about a grumpy old man out to kill gang bangers. It's about a grumpy old man reflecting on his life and how the world has changed and the changes he goes through that positively changes the people around him and himself.

I don't want to say more than that as I may spoil it.

    5 stars IMO.

Thanks for posting about this movie. I considered it the other day (went to see Valkyrie instead. Good movie also), but I thought it was a Dirty Harry-type movie & was not interested. Clint Eastwood has been involved in some very thought-provoking movies, though. So I will definitely be checking it out now.

I gotta jump on board this one too.

    Dang fine flick.

    Had tears in my eyes.

Well, they were all watery anyway.

I do highly recommend it though.
