    All the mice, ASFs, and rats that I raise are kept in a spare room (not far from the the snake room), and I keep a chest freezer full of frozen rats, mice, ASFs, and chicks in the snake room.

    I used to live in a loft, and kept around 100 rodents about 10 feet from the snake racks and never had a problem.

    Seemed that it was all relevant to them, once I put a tub of feeders in front of the rack then they went into hunt mode.

    Keep conscious of not handling while YOU smell like a rodent and you should be fine.
