I made a home-made humidifier, I got the idea from ceramics class, this sort of device was used to keep pots from drying out to quickly.

Here is what you are going for:



You pretty much take a jar, cut paper towels into inch thick strips, and dip them in the water and roll them over the edge of the jar. You only need like an inch deep of water and one paper towel to get the job done. The only thing I worry about is molding, I wash and replace the paper towels as often as I wash the water dishes though.

My humidity was at 35% and I got it up to 55% relatively easy, I use a CHE too... who says you can't use a heat lamp and keep humidity??
