Sorry to hear about your leo. I have a couple questions for you.

    1. Does your leo keep it's mouth open the way he is in the pictures? or was that just a lucky shot

How long has he been like this?
    Have you seen a vet?

Re: Help I think my Leo is Dying

His front right leg definetly looks like it has some MBD. This is not too serious, and all you should need to do is go to the pet store, and pick up some calcium. Allow that bowl to sit in his cage, and fill it up when it’s empty. Some leos will literally eat it all, if they need it. Don’t worry about him overdosing on calcium; he knows what he needs just like when you know you need water.

For him being skinny. What is your cages set-up? What substrate, temperature, hides, etc? A pic for this would be great. Also, what is his current diet?

P.S. – he doesn’t look like he should be put to sleep.

Re: Help I think my Leo is Dying

I agree with MISHKE. But serious cases of MBD should be dealt with by the vet.
If it doesnt get much better or continues even after MISHKE's recommendations it may be a good idea to see a herp vet.

Also, to try and get him back up to healthy weight, you should try feeding him meal worms, wax worms, butter worms etc. These should be fed on top of the normal cricket diet he is getting. You could be adding calcium powder to the crickets and the worms as well using a sort of "shake and bake" method to coat them in the powder.

I hope all goes well and good luck

Re: Help I think my Leo is Dying

I would strongly reccoment seeing a herp vet as soon as you can. It worries me that his jaw hangs like it does in the picture. They will know what to do, and should be able to to give it some sort of calcium directly without trying to get it to eat.

I hope all goes well with your Leo

    All the best

Re: Help I think my Leo is Dying

Take the gecko to a herp vet ASAP. In addition to MBD he may have internal parasites that have caused the weight loss (he will need to have a fecal done). He may need to be given liquid calcium in addition to any medication for parasites.

In addition to any medications I would make up some liquid food for him unless you vet gives you something else as a food substitution to help him gain some weight back. He likely does not have the strength or energy to eat live insects right now. Get some turkey baby food and mash up mealworms and wax worms in it. Mash everything up into a liquid (the moisture in the insects will liquify the baby food). Feed this via a spoon or a dropper every day and leave leftovers from each feeding in a very shallow dish in the enclosure for the gecko to eat on his own if he is able. You don't have to make much at one time--just see how much he will eat. Make sure to remove anything that is uneaten each day when you make new food.

Some great suggestions above. My first instinct was calcium issues, as well. Remember to mist his tank daily. What is the temperature gradient? And please do see a herp vet asap.
