Re: Large Orders Of Ball Pythons

But we DON'T have "more than enough captive breds available". That's why people continue to ship in imports. The pet trade in balls is massive. They are a great small sized python, fairly easy to care for and placid in nature. It's no wonder that they are so popular. Captive breeding doesn't supply enough at this point in time.

they are fricken snakes, not children!

most farms arent the nicest places in the world whether its snakes, turtles, crocs, pigs, cows, chickens, rodents, etc. if you want these farms to be all lovey dovey with the critters they raise, be prepared to pay 5x what you pay now due to the much higher expenses and wages.

its not practical to give animals the type of care you seem to think they should be getting.

Re: Large Orders Of Ball Pythons

Ball python wild pops are huge. They thrive on farm land. There's lots and lots of farmland and rats in Ghana. There are remote village that worship the things for protecting the harvest.

Minimal CITES estimates for wild BP's in Ghana alone is 6 million. So when someone says they want to import 1000, that's not even making a scratch into that population. Even the full export from Ghana doesn't make a scratch.

Fixed. I would have taken the larger-font-size-exclamation more seriously if you had spelled 'completely' right, but that's just me.

To be honest I wouldn't buy from them. They sound like a major import company and although I have nothing against it I'd have to quarantine anything I buy from someone like that at least a year before letting them get close to my collection lol. Not to say they are cruel or anything thats just a random company I found on the i-net.
