Adopting another BP... yup, it's official... I have a full blown addiction

So one of my friends from the Vet Tech program is moving, and the apartments that shes moving into wont allow her and her BF to keep any pets. She knew that I had a lot of snakes, so she asked me to take him in, as well as the cage that he's housed in. I have an extra space in my rack, and her BF built the cage which is roughly 48 in. x 24 in x 18 in. with sliding acrylic doors that are lockable (can we say hello RTB cage when Camila's older?). So I'm going to be bringing him to my dad's house for him to live there, and teach him how to take care of a snake. He's always wanted one, and now he's finally going to be able to have one. I'm pretty sure that everyone wins in this situation, lol =) will post pics once I get him set up at my dads and clean out the cage.

Good stuff! Getting your dad in on the addiction now too huh?

My father would NEVER go for that lol. I remember when I brought my first snake home he started screaming! The guy is 6'3" 250 lbs but he's scared to death (though he'd never admit it lol) of a little snake.

Re: Adopting another BP... yup, it's official... I have a full blown addiction

Well, as promised, here's pics of the new adoption, Cujo! This was the cage that they had him in, but I'm moving him over to a 32 qt tub for now.

This is going to be my RTB's cage when she gets older. I think she'll really enjoy the length. It's dimensions are 72x 24x 18.It has a screen top, but over the next year I'll probably end up covering the top and cutting out a couple holes to get some more ventilation in the cage, and I'm thinking of adding some heat tape to the bottom for heat. They were just using overhead dome lights.

Aaaaaand the plexi glass doors slide and lock, so no escapes!

Now here's 'Cujo'. He has a lot of stuck shed on him, but as you can imagine he probably had no humidity in that cage at all.

and here's a belly shot just for good measure, and in case if I'm missing any markers. But I believe that he's just a normal, which i'm completely fine with.

We're going to visit the vet as soon as I can collect a fecal sample from him to make sure that he's doesn't have any internal parasites going on. Other than the stuck shed, he seems to be a happy/healthy BP!
