Hotlinking is when someone uses the img tag on another website to post an image somewhere else. Some websites like tinypic allow you to do that, other than that, as far as I know, I can "right click save as" a picture, upload it to my photobucket account and then post it and that doesn't equal stealing bandwith.

My geeking goes only so far so if I am wrong on that then please tell me and I'll stop with the silly gifs and pictures.
