    UTH question ??

Hopefully this is not a "micro manage" type of question, but I was just wondering.
I have a UTH w/thermostat on the warm side set at 90deg. And a Lamp w/dimmer on the cool side achieving 80deg.(its cold up here in the NE and need the lamp to maintain that cool side temp) Humidity is ok at 55-60, now that i switched to cypress.

My question is: Ive seen some people use the lamp as the warm side and the UTH as the cool. Assumimg you can achieve the right temps, is it better to make the lamp produce the 90 deg and the uth the 80 deg ?

I assume the 90 deg w/uth is better for belly heat ?

Also thought about ditching the lamp all together and putting a small uth under the cool side w/thermostat to maintain 80.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: UTH question ??

I'd keep it the way you have it because if you have the light above the 90 area then you'll lose more humidity...
