First Leos, Purchase?
I have the opportunity to pick up the three leos in the pictures below. This would include their set up (one for the females and one for the male) for 150$. I am new to leos so I was wondering if this looked like it would be a good deal. Also included would be feeding tweezers, water conditioner, calcium and vitamin powder. Having all of this makes it look like they were taken good care of.
The blizzard is a male and one of the females is het for snow.
Any thoughts on this would be great.
Thanks!

Well, if that exo terra tank with the sand and nasty (and empty) water dish is their set-up then no.......it's not a good deal. Not even the largest exo terra tank is big enough for even just 1 adult leopard gecko. I'd ask to see pictures of the tanks before you make your decision. If their "set-ups" are those exo terra tanks then just ask how much the geckos are without the tanks. I used to breed leopard geckos and always kept mine in 20-29 gallon long tanks. There's always plenty of room for the hides and dishes AND they can still walk around without having to climb over everything. Good luck.

Re: First Leos, Purchase?
I have bred and owned leos for many years now, i would not take those tanks, like it was mentioned in the above post, they are way too small, ask about how much it would be for just the geckos themselves, they are beautiful. Also, have you researched about proper care for these geckos? and keep in mind they have a pretty long lifespan, so will you be able to care for these animals for potentially 15-20 years?
All the best

Re: First Leos, Purchase?
agreed
a rule of thumb that alot of ppl me and alot of ppl i know go by is
1 gecko = 10gal
2gecko = 20gal
3gecko= 29/30 gal
4gecko= 40gal
etc
i used to keep abot 6 in a 55 gal with enough hides and all so yea each gecko needs 10 gal give or take.
(if this has changed since i did my research about 3-4 years ago sry)
