Male VS. Female
Hi everyone,
For those who havent seen my thread in the Husbandry section, I'm trying to convince my dad to let me get a BP. Im also trying to do as much research possible in case I do get one. I'm sure this sounds like a stupid question, but I'm hoping you all could answer it. Is there any feeding difference etc. between a male or female BP. I know that females usually get larger but are there any other differences? Is one more likely to go off feed?
Thank you for any info!

Re: Male VS. Female
From what I have heard here the only difference seems to be during breeding season. I am not a expert by far. I only have one female ball, and as of next month I will have had her for a full year. I have been reading a lot of posts from breeders, and also reading any info on thier sites. It seems that temp regulated non breeders are just about the same, as far a sex differances. but for breeders it seems that the female will be off feed for longer than the male.
No question is a stupid one. Good luck in your quest to get a bp, they are great, I can't wait to get another one, or two.

Thank you! I'm used to corns and with them, males go off feed and females are the ones that are the little better feeders.

Re: Male VS. Female
Well, I'm kind of new, but my year old male hasn't eaten since September and I've been told he is probably just in the mood for love.
My corns on the other hand NEVER go off feed, even when they are breeding.
