Re: My Boa set up
hey starmom, what kind of cages do you use for your boas? we were looking at RBI cages, but it seems like the biggest that they have is a 2x4...

Lol!! You had to bring this up now!!!
Honestly, I have been going around and around and around on this issue. I was going to get the AP A30 (L4xW2xH6). I have been talking with Ali about it and trying to work with them for *months* and *months*, but they must be really busy there because waiting for reply's and action has been ridiculous.
*But*- I love the cage!!!
I saw Brandon's cage again that he made and was reminded (again) of how gorgeous his cage is and how I could make gorgeous cages for my females~ a lot nicer on the eye than plastic!!
Well, long story short, I have now committed to making the cages based on the A30 design I'll be going to Lowe's and Home Depot for the various supplies. I'm not good enough with tools to do proper doors (like Brandon can) but I can router out a space and put the Lexan into it. I'll use some sort of nifty veneered or oak plywood with about 4 coats of spar varnish. I'll also use two RBI 80watt RHP's since there is a lot of vertical space to heat. I'll be putting in two shelves and a climbing tree.
Actually, I worked up the plans today and am really excited. Guess the creative juices are flowing since we also worked up the house plans for the ranch in a way that we all love and is also do-able!!!!
Oh happy day!!!
