    Well that was weird. :|

I put my biggest two together today, Levi who is supposed to be a male, and Lucy, who is supposed to be a female. Took their hides out, put him in her tub... and suddenly they were the most active, looking-to-escape snakes in the world. With their powers combined they just about took the lid off the tub (which was latched securely!) after they completed two complete circuits around it. It didn't look like fighting, but it was still very strange. Is there any explanation for this behavior?

Totally going to a vet and getting them re-sexed before I try this again, that's for sure.

Most likely, they are both 2 males. You're snakes were probably not sexed correctly...but my 2 cents says they are both males.

Putting 2 males together they will twist around each other and run from each other going up and down trying to get away from each other. It stimulates breeding...and it has worked for me all breeding season this year.

    Crap. :|

There go ALL my plans. XD

    I guess I'll weather the non-feeding storm.

It is possible they were just freaked out. I have paired up snakes that were freaked out for a while, trying to get away and then settled down.

If they were fighting I would say definately 2 males but just trying to escape could mean just shy or wierded out.

I've had them together before, but they were in the middle of the living room... Levi seemed totally disinterested and Lucy was curious. Nothing like that.

I dunno. But a vet visit is definitely in order.
