    granite questions

Hey guys, was looking for a little info on granites; first of all, what are 08s going for, I can't seem to find any anywhere, almost every breeder (major or basement) seems to have at least one on their collection page but no one has any for sale, which leads me to my second question, are a lot of people still trying to prove theirs out, like finding true genetic blackbacks or are people just holding them back and dumping them into other projects, thanx in advance.

    Re: granite questions

Wish I could answer your questions about the specific market for granites...but I don't know much about it. I did wonder though...if you came to your conclusion about breeders not having any for sale through looking at their websites? It's possible that there just aren't many folks working with them to sell....but it's also just as likely that most breeders don't keep their "available" lists updated on their websites...or they just put in the work to list the most popular animals and don't bother inputting data for every baby they may have hatched. If you see a breeder with a granite listed in their collection, I would definitely call them (or e-mail) and see if they had any hatchlings available or coming soon.

    Re: granite questions

nagini88, looks like a normal to me. granites have alot more speckeling that extends down the entire sides, and the price tag is a flag for a normal.

You:How many snakes do you have?
Me: Oh, just a room full.
    You:Eh, how many?
    Me:A ROOM FULL.

    Re: granite questions

just because a piebald has no white doesnt mean its not a piebald, I've seen one that had no white on kingsnake one time, but it had the pattern, the intensity of a marking doesnt make or break a snake. and like I said mine isnt proven
