Re: to anyone who thinks they have a morph

This is a forum, were here to answer questions, however annoying they get( Especially when repeated...) When you think about it almost every question has been answered, and its as simple as using the search tab to find them. If everyone did that then the forum would go dead other than people helping with setups.

If there's a problem at all with multiple askings of the same question, it's that these new people are so excited/worried about something that they don't bother to do a search for the thing they're wanting to know. Instead, they just post a new thread which is much faster.

As to the websites to ID morphs... if there isn't already a thread with that info, I'll go ahead and make one.

Yes people could do some research (and some do) however some people need that want that 1 on 1 attention and guidance from someone that is more experienced and there is nothing wrong with that, that is why forums are here for to answer questions.

As for anyone who would be tired of answering the same question again and again, there is a very simple solution: do not answer the post, you don't have to if you don't want to.

It's easy to look at the title of the thread, gather what the content will be about, and either click the link or simply skip over it. I only open threads that look interesting to me.

Re: to anyone who thinks they have a morph

Sorry, though I did not ask the question. I'm sorry that as a newbe here I was under the impression that we were all here to learn and help others learn in the process. Some things people say make me mad too.
I have worked in fast food my whole life, so when a cusomer asks me something that may or may not be obvious should I throw the sanwitch at them?

Re: to anyone who thinks they have a morph

I was injured pretty bad in an auto accident 3 months ago and have been on the shelf ever since. I spend a LOT of time on here. [more than I should] So keep the threads coming so I will have something to read and reply to every now and then. I do think butter has got the point and made an honest mistake not thinking about what he was really saying. I say forgive and forget.

Re: to anyone who thinks they have a morph

I don't mind the "is my snake a morph" threads. There are times when I look and think.... *hmmmmmm*... or someone notes a marking that is seen in the more subtle morphs.

First response is to say "hot normal"... but I try to look closely and genuinely critique.

I was CONVINCED my first BP was a yellow belly... and then my het orange... I was certain he was a yellow belly too.

But it got me looking at snakes, learning about genetics, and sharpened my eye when people would point out the differences, which at the time I had trouble seeing, but now are glaringly obvious.

All part of the learning curve.

    Bruce

PS: An acquaintance of mine got a Velvet at a pet store. Interesting snake, emailed BHB and Mark Mandic... then asked the pet store to find out it came in as a trade. If she'd never taken the time to ask she would have just figured she had a nice hypermelanistic snake.
