How do you make a poll?

I've had a few questions I wanted to put into a poll and every time I remember what they are I can't find out how to actually make a poll. Is it done after the thread is already posted or by a mod or something?

Nevermind, I figured out how to do this, you can select an option at the bottom of the page when starting a new thread if anyone else was wondering.
