I'd have to hear it for myself.
Spend some time with the snake out, constantly paying attention to the snake as much as you can for long enough to accurately determine the cause of the sound.
There's not much help you can get with the limited information you have right now, but keep us updated! Both RI and "something else" making a sound are plausible, go narrow down the source of the sound
