I hope you can get him healed up. Guess you have a new pet. Hopefully it won't take much to have him healthy. Make sure you're quarentining him from your other snakes.

Wow. It's lucky for the blood that he found a good home. Do you run a rescue or something, for everyone to be dropping off animals at your doorstep? It would surprise the heck out of me to randomly find a box with an animal infront of my house, especially this time of year...its -2 out right now! You're a real stand-up guy/gal for taking all those animals in. Hope all goes well. Merry Christmas!

They love soaking. I know a good guy who owns a really nice exotics store, and they have a blood there. The thing soaks in a kitty litter box quite often. It's definitely a good idea to give him something to soak in, though the soaking with an open wound worries me. I'd ask your vet friend if its okay for it to get wet, or has it healed up pretty well? IMO you should call him up to just double check that giving him a soaking bowl wouldn't cause a huge jump in probability of infection.
Again, it's really awesome what you are doing. Keep us updated on how hes doing!

Re: blood python left at door step he needs major help
I wouldnt let him soak while his wounds are healing. Get his temps set correctly first (making sure they dont go over 90 or drop below 80 while he is healing), get him seen by a vet, and read up as much as you can. Keep his humidity around 65%. 70% for shedding. I'd also keep him on either newspaper or papertowels until his wounds closes.
