Yes that is correct but I also said no bigger then the width between their eyes because this can cause impaction, they can also eat mealworms but becareful, they should be used as a treat otherwise if you want to feed crickets again they may not take them.. There are 3 caresheets posted in here now as well.

Piper, have you ever kept leos yourself or are you just repeating what you've only read moments ago?

I ask because while you seem to want to be helpful, your information is not as correct as it should be.

Also, if you research ms. kraplan, you will find that she believes NO ONE should have ANY pets at all.

I don't believe she ever actually wrote anything herself, just "borrowed" from others back when the internet was young.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

Yea, actually I have had a leo, which I took from my brother and had to learn very quickly, spent weeks reading. There is a lot of contradicting information on the internet regarding any animal. One person believes one thing while the next doesn't believe this.

Its all up for debate really. Will there ever be a final book released saying this is how it is done and the rest of you are wrong? no.. probably not.

Was I incorrect in the feeding as well? Because I don't believe I was, the gecko was very young when my brother bought it. He was posted somewhere in the military and I had to read up on them very quickly so I apologize.

Sorry, I just wanted to give information I learned when I had one so the same mistakes weren't made twice.

    Cheers -

    Go to the source. www.geckoforums.net.

There are hard and fast rules now, things that if you do do them will result in healthy geckos. If the book has not been published yet, it will be soon, at least one.

I know you're trying to be helpful, which is why I'm being so nice. Your effort is commendable. I, in my turn, am trying to help you expand your knowledge.

Go check the site out, they're some good people who know geckos like some here know balls.

To the OP, I apologize for making a mess of your thread, my info seems to be a little outdated.

Heck, you did your best to do your best, then when you found out that you didn't know all you could you nicely went about learning.

You contributed in a positive fashion.

No need for apologies for that. Not to me anyway and I doubt the OP would see it any other way. I could be wrong but seriously, how often does THAT happen?

I say keep up the good work.

Re: I want a leo but don't know jack!

dont feed wax worms and if u do rarely because they are very fatting and they are like leo crack if u feed to much they wont go back to other food (learned this from experiance and from other fourms i was part of a few years ago.)
mealies are fine I usually keep some in a dish on in the tank so if im late with feeding my leos wont be hungry
