I have read that I should get them onto rat pups, at what age should I be looking at changing their feeds.

i would be willing to bet that you can switch them over any time with no problem, but i don't keep them so i'm not sure. jungles are usually the pickiest... if yours are eating f/t mice with gusto then they'll probably eat anything.
