    Re: Why do we keep snakes and reptiles as pets

    I grew up in the Nevada Desert and was surrounded by reptiles and snakes.
    I brought home horny toads, and a bull snake in a cereal box. My mother taught us about how to be careful of rattlers.
    They remind me of when I grew up, and they are great pets. I intend to breed eventually. And have cali kings, milks, and two bps.
    I did rescue work for about 8 months of BP's in our area and finally found good reptile rescues to refer people to.
    I like to use them to educate people, and I love their personalities, their distinct characteristics and how each one is special.
