Typically my experience has been that my best breeders are males or females I've had in my possession for atleast a year. Maybe it has something to do with getting "use" to the seasons in my area?

Regardless this year is my first attempt at breeding a young male and it isn't going successfully He's got the size but doesn't appear interested.

In doing my research beforehand alot of breeders recommended waiting until they hit atleast 500g before rotating him with girls and only with a couple females to not overstress the male.

I'm sure there are cases of other approaches working but this seemed safe and reasonable for me
